Wayne Sandlin began as a professional photographer in 1970 after military service. He received his Bachelor of Arts in creative photography from Northeast Louisiana University in 1973. After graduating, Wayne worked as a civil service photographer for the State of Louisiana and operated a Portrait and Wedding Studio. In 1977 he moved to Houston and in the early 80ís, worked on his Master of Fine Arts at the University of Houston. Throughout the 80ís and 90ís his black and white fine art photography began being exhibited in art galleries in the Houston area and he continues to work on his black and white art.
